September Bullet Journal Setup 2022

Finally sharing my September Bullet Journal Setup 2022. My procrastination brain has been in control these last couple of weeks, and I have been really busy with some work stuff, as well as mom stuff. But September means the start of a new school year, and, in my mind at least, the chance to start fresh. For September, I chose a book theme. And of course, I had to make it a little extra – it’s a pull tab. To see the tutorial, you can check out my blog post, but here I will be talking about my setup. There is a video you can check out too if you prefer. But otherwise, let’s get into it!

September Bullet Journal Setup 2022 – Notes

Stamping

I decided to use stamps to match my book theme. I have collected stamps over many, many years and I really want to be better about using what I have. This was one of the main drivers for using the stamps. I also find that they are sometimes faster to use than handlettering everything.

If stamping is something you want to get into, start with a more versatile set, like an alphabet set or something you know you’ll use. There are some super cute stamp sets out there which I have bought and never used. So just keep that in mind when starting this adventure.

For more information on stamp ink in journals, you can check out my comprehensive blog post on stamping and stamp inks.

Acrylographs

Acrylographs are paint pens by Archer and Olive. While they can be tricky to use, they really are fun and the more you use them, the easier it gets. For this setup, I pulled from many sets so if you want to know which pen belongs to which set, you can check that out below:

  • Orange, black, and brown – Primary Set
  • Moth wing, cocoa, and midnight moonlight – Cool Fall Set
  • Gold – Metallic Set
  • Golden hour – Blossom Set
  • Canyon Red – Bewitched Set

Archer and Olive have some comprehensive how-tos for the Acrylographs that you can check out, and that are super helpful.

Please note that I am an Affiliate for them, meaning that a small portion of anything you buy comes to me.

September B5 Bullet Journal Calendar

Creating a mini book within my journal

I thought it would be fun to create a mini book on my monthly pages. This is to capture my goals for the monthly, my monthly to do list, and a notes page that I plan to use for future planning.

I used 3 pages, cut into them, and then glued the rest of the pages down. By nesting the cut pages, I find it’s less bumpy to write on later (I save the bumpiness for pull tabs ;D).

Weekly Layouts

I didn’t include weekly layouts like before because, well, I had no idea what I wanted it to look like yet. This last week of September was tacked on to my August layout so time is ticking on getting that done. I will be sharing that over on my Instagram if you want to follow along.

September Bullet Journal Setup 2022 – Final Thoughts

Hoping to get my butt into gear this month since it’s back to school and I should have more time. I am excited though and feel ready for fall. And just to give a bit more insight as to how I chose this theme (other than September being school-themed in general), back in September 2018, I created this library book layout. It’s one of my first videos so check it out at your own risk! Lol! But I wanted to one-up myself on that layout so this is how I came up with this theme and design.

Anyhow, if you have any questions about my layouts or would like more insight into my thought process, please don’t hesitate to reach out and ask!
