November Bullet Journal Setup

November Bullet Journal Setup

It’s been almost a year since I last used a bullet journal. Although I have used it in a very basic capacity, I really missed the creative aspect of my journal. I’m finally able to return to creative planning in a bullet journal and am sharing my November bullet journal setup with you. You can follow my Plan With Me on YouTube but I am including a more condensed write-up below.

Since it’s been a while, I thought I would go with the basic layouts – dashboard, cover page, monthly view, doodle grid, and weekly view.

November Cover Page

If you like my dashboard, you can get the free download by subscribing to my email newsletter. I am currently only sending out my newsletter once a month and will be including a lettering layout/dashboard every month.

Supplies

The basic supplies I used can be found in my favourite lettering resources page. Basically, I use the Tombow Mono Drawing Pens and a grid ruler. For colour, I used Crayola Super tips and Pentel Touch Sign pens. I also threw in some washi for good measure.

A few less basic supplies includes, stamps, specifically from Simon Says Stamp and Tim Holtz. The ink I use is Brilliance Pigment Ink. I have a previous post about the intricacies of stamping in your bullet journal that you can check out here.

I am using a Scribbles That Matter A5 dot grid notebook. They have recently upgraded their paper to a 160gsm quality. In a nutshell, this means that the ink will smudge if you don’t let it dry for a few minutes. I learned this the hard way and used a ton of my white Gelly Roll Ink pens to clean up the mess.

I also created stickers using my stamps and some generic sticker paper. Some of the sticker stamps were intentional, some were to fix a smudged mess.

Doodle Page

I’ve decided to include doodle challenges in my journal again as I find my drawing skills are lacking again. As with most things, when I was practicing daily, I saw vast and rapid improvement over a very short span of time. I created my own challenge just for convenience sake. If you are interested in following along, I have created a free downloadable template for you to use. Print, cut, and paste, and you are ready to go! If you do decide to draw along with me, I’d love for you to tag me @natashamiller_creates on Instagram. I love seeing different renditions of a generic prompt. It’s the best part about creatives if you ask me – our different perspectives of the same object.

Free Weekly Layout Template

I am also including a free weekly layout template for this month. A lot of complaints with bullet journaling is not having the time to do it. Well, here the outline is done for you and then the rest is up to you my friend (bonus points if you can name where that phrase is from :D).

Weekly Bullet Journal Layout

I hope you enjoyed my take on bullet journaling. I love stamping so much and it’s so simple to do to create fun elements, especially custom stickers. If you have any comments or questions, I would love to hear from you. Either leave a comment below, tag me on Instagram @natashamiller_letters, or leave a comment on my YouTube channel.
