I’ve been meaning to review the Artline Stix Brush Markers for a while now but I had misplaced them. You see, they snap together a bit like Lego so I had hid them from my kiddos. I then proceeded to forget where I put them but here they finally are! In the video I review the different blending techniques, as well as how they hold up in different planner and bullet journals. This post is in no way sponsored and this is my honest review.
Artline Stix: Where and How Much?
Artline is an Australian brand so there markers are imported into North America. I purchased mine from JetPens, so after shipping, tax, and exchange, they were roughly $40 Canadian.
Other than the packaging being damaged, I am very happy with my order and they shipped in a reasonable time frame.

I tested the markers in 3 bullet journals: a Leuchtturm, a 100 GSM Scribbles That Matter, and a 160 GSM Scribbles That Matter Bullet Journal. There was bleed through, ghosting and smudging in the Leuchtturm. The pens held up perfectly fine in the 160 GSM notebook. The biggest surprises were the Recollections planner, Happy Planner, and the Erin Condren. They all had a little bit of ghosting.
MY OVERALL IMPRESSION
So from a planner stand point, I would give these a miss. From a lettering standpoint, these are probably my favourite brush markers! They are so much fun to use!! They are comfortable to hold, bright and vivid, great colour selections, and very, for lack of a better word… juicy!
The brush tip is fairly big and the ink is very saturated which is why I wouldn’t use them in a planner. I would choose one of the other brush pens (mentioned in the chart below), with smaller/finer brush tips for planners.
